The Pivot Cactus Pot features a sculpted cactus in a pottery-inspired cherry red pot. The decoration on the pot was created using thin colored glass stringers to paint with glass onto its surface.

What’s your favorite part of glass blowing?
What I love most about glass is how it demands that I be present and mindful. This medium has taught me so much about how be a focused artist, and how to let go of loss and failures. There is something incredibly therapeutic about the process of using fire to manipulate a solid into a liquid, then back to a solid again. It’s a dance, and I’m grateful that I have been able to cultivate a life forged by the flame.
Who inspires you as an artist?
There is no one artist that particularly inspires me. Rather, it’s a person’s way of living creatively and authentically that really makes me see the world differently. I am inspired by originality and creatives who make art for the sake of art, without attaching a price tag to it.
